At Gizmo Trendz, we strive to deliver products that meet your expectations. This policy outlines the process and conditions under which returns and refunds are handled.
Quick Summary: Hardware products may be returned within 7 days of delivery in original condition. Returns are processed via the manufacturer where applicable. Manufacturer warranty is honoured on all products. IT services and software licences are non-refundable once delivered or activated.
1. Hardware Returns — 7-Day Window
We accept returns on hardware products (laptops, desktops, servers, networking equipment, peripherals, etc.) within 7 calendar days from the date of delivery, subject to the following conditions:
- The product must be unused or in the condition it was received
- All original packaging, accessories, manuals, and seals must be intact
- The product must not have been physically damaged, mishandled, or tampered with
- The original invoice/delivery challan must accompany the return
- Products with broken seals (opened box) are eligible for return only under Dead on Arrival (DOA) or manufacturing defect claims
Returns received after 7 days of delivery will not be accepted, except under manufacturer warranty terms.
2. Return Process
To initiate a return, please follow these steps:
- Email info@gizmotrendz.co.in with subject "Return Request – [Invoice Number]"
- Include your invoice number, product name, reason for return, and photos of the product and packaging
- Our team will review the request within 2 business days and provide a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) if approved
- Ship the product to our office (or arrange pickup as coordinated) only after receiving the RMA
- The cost of return shipping is borne by the customer, except in cases of DOA or incorrect shipment on our part
3. Manufacturer Warranty
All hardware products supplied by Gizmo Trendz carry the manufacturer's standard warranty applicable in India. The warranty period and terms vary by brand and product category:
- Laptops & Desktops: Typically 1–3 years on-site or carry-in warranty
- Servers & Networking: As per manufacturer's enterprise warranty terms
- Peripherals: 6 months to 1 year depending on product
- UPS & Power Equipment: As per manufacturer terms
For warranty claims beyond the 7-day return window, warranty service is handled directly through the manufacturer's authorised service centre. Gizmo Trendz will assist in facilitating warranty claims where possible.
4. Dead on Arrival (DOA) Products
If a product arrives dead or non-functional (DOA), please report it within 48 hours of delivery. DOA products are eligible for replacement or refund at our discretion, subject to verification by the manufacturer or their authorised representative. We will cover return shipping costs for DOA items.
5. Defective Products
Products found to be defective within the manufacturer's warranty period are handled through manufacturer warranty channels. Gizmo Trendz will coordinate with the manufacturer on your behalf to ensure timely resolution — whether that is repair, replacement, or refund as per the manufacturer's warranty policy.
6. IT Services — Non-Refundable
Services including IT staffing, consulting, AMC, network installation, configuration services, and project deliverables are non-refundable once delivered or commenced. Disputes regarding service quality should be raised within 7 days of delivery and will be addressed through our standard support process.
7. Software Licences — Non-Refundable
Software licences (including operating systems, productivity suites, antivirus, and other third-party software) are non-refundable once activated or delivered, as licence keys cannot be recalled or reissued to another party. Please confirm compatibility and requirements before purchase.
8. Rental & AMC Contracts
Equipment provided under rental agreements remains the property of Gizmo Trendz. Rental prepayments are non-refundable except in cases of early termination as specified in the individual rental contract. AMC fees are non-refundable once a service call or preventive maintenance visit has been performed.
9. Refund Processing
Once a return is received and inspected (typically within 3–5 business days), we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 business days via the original mode of payment (bank transfer / NEFT / RTGS). GST refunds are subject to applicable tax regulations.
10. Non-Returnable Circumstances
Returns will not be accepted under the following circumstances:
- Return request made after 7 days of delivery
- Product has been physically damaged, misused, or subject to liquid damage
- Missing original packaging, accessories, or invoice
- Software licence keys have been activated
- Custom-configured or special-order equipment
- Products with tampered or removed serial number stickers
